    Offered for the serious and specialist collector is a splendid and finely preserved, complete 7cm example of the distinctive and very rare spiny starfish
    Hystrigaster horridus,
    exposed on both sides of a 15.5cm X 12cm Hunsruck slate matrix plate.
    This crisp example, typically fattened, shows fine detail of all five arms; three in their entirety, with excellent detail of the calcareous plates and lateral spines exposed on one side of the slate, and the entire dorsal surface with numerous spines and the base of one arm, exposed on the reverse of the slate.
    Altogether an amazing legacy of Devonian marine life, from a classic and world-famous sit, at an
