    Description

    Liberia Scott # 7, Issued in 1864.  MINT NG, as usual.   Very rare papermakers watermark.  Distinct XT with what looks like the tip of an E to the left.  I beleive this is von Saleski's type 1 watermark, see page 5 of his catalog.  Watermark described is on the proofs of this issue and reads "A. COWAN & SONS/EXTRA SUPERFINE.  I believe this watermark is on this paper showing the EXT from "EXTRA"  .  I tried to scan the rear but the results were poor. Pencil number on rear.
