For sale is an absolutely beautiful
5 Piece Place Setting in the Gien Au Sainfoin Pattern, hand painted in Rouen, France!
There are multiple place settings available, all in Near Mint Condition, and we are happy to combine shipment.
Each purchase at the price shown is for (1) - 5 Piece Place Setting.
About the Pattern
This hand painted pattern has amazing detail and features flowers and green vines on a white background.
An orange rope and thin blue band is painted around the scalloped edge of each piece.
Each piece was made in its entirety in Gien's reknowned factory in Rouen, France.
The backs are marked with the Gien name and logo and a little history (in French) of this pattern, which was adapted from a plate made by a Rouen pottery maker in the 18th century, inspired by Chinese porcelain.
This is a highly collectible and rare dinnerware set.  It was produced between 1989 and 2004.
These pieces are dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand wash only.
Condition
This set was very rarely used.
All pieces are in Near Mint Condition, free of chips, cracks, crazing, nicks, stains, and wear to the hand painted pattern.
Each shows a few very light utensil scratches consistent with very rare usage.  These are only noticed if you are inspecting the pieces and tilting them under a bright light.
Any white spots that appear in the photos is just reflection of the lighting. There is no wear to the painted pattern.
