Up for sale is a large serving bowl in the signature pattern,
OISEAUX DE PARADIS
by Gien, the renowned French faience manufacturer.
The pattern features a background of ivory earthenware decorated with flowers and leaves.
The usual central motif - a colorful
“Bird of Paradise
” is not present.  The unique handles are highlighted in blue.
I bought the bowl a few years ago to supplement my Gien d
inner service.
Now that I am downsizing, I am letting go of some “extras.”
The serving bowl is in very good condition, as I seldom used it – and then, only for fresh fruit when the grandkids visited.
The bowl is round - 9” diameter and 3” tall.
Handle to handle is 12”.
It sits on a slight pedestal base that is 5 ¾” wide.
The underside is hallmarked with the Gien
Oiseaux de Paradis
logo and
