Entirely hand-painted antique French armorial portrait plate in a spectacular color
palette. Striking central image of a man in profile. Borders boast cartouches of a woman with a cherubic child, and a portrait of a Valkyrie, all surrounded by mythical birds. Beautiful stylized geometric inner and outer border designs. Signed "Gien" with a company castle mark used in 1875. Mint condition.
